Company DescriptionCentralia Elementary School District is seeking a dependable and safety-driven School Bus Driver to join our dedicated team of transportation professionals. If you're passionate about student safety, enjoy being on the road, and thrive in a collaborative environment, we’d love to meet you!What You'll Do:Safely operate a school bus on designated routes, ensuring students arrive at school and home on time and safelyTransport students and staff for special education programs, field trips and district eventsSupport students with boarding, exiting and crossing the street when necessaryMaintain a clean, safe and well-functioning vehicle—inside and outCollaborate with teachers, parents and school staff regarding student care and conductKeep accurate trip records and assist with reportsServe as a mentor to new drivers and support transportation operations as neededWhat You Bring:A valid California Class B Operator’s LicenseAn Unlimited School Bus Driver's Certificate and a current Medical CertificateA clean driving record and at least 1 year of safe driving experience with a public or private transportation agencyKnowledge of basic vehicle maintenance and first aid techniquesAbility to stay calm under pressure and respond effectively in emergenciesStrong interpersonal skills and a commitment to teamworkPhysical Requirements:Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.Physically fit to assist children and perform vehicle safety checksAdequate vision and hearing to ensure safety at all timesWhy Join Centralia?
