Web Developer (React / Next.js)
Department: ImerzaLocation: ImerzaDescriptionWe are looking for a Web Developer to help build and maintain the frontend of our digital twin platform and supporting web experiences. This role works closely with our Senior Full Stack Developer and focuses on implementing high-quality, responsive, and performant user interfaces within a modern, CMS-driven application stack.You will spend most of your time writing frontend code, translating designs into production-ready UI, and integrating with existing APIs and services. We turn architectural concepts into breathtaking, immersive experiences that run everywhere from a sales-center video wall to a tablet in a buyer's hands.Key ResponsibilitiesFrontend Development (primary focus)Build and maintain responsive web interfaces using React and Next.js.Implement CMS-driven pages and reusable UI components based on our design system.Translate Figma designs and wireframes into clean, accessible, production-ready UI.Ensure consistent behavior across browsers, screen sizes, and deployment environments (desktop, tablet, kiosk, and large-format displays).Optimize pages for performance, loading behavior, and usability, especially for media-heavy content.Backend and Integration SupportIntegrate frontend components with existing APIs, services, and CMS content.Work with structured data coming from a headless CMS (Payload).Support forms, user-facing interactions, and light client-side data handling.Assist with debugging issues that span frontend and backend boundaries, with support from senior engineers.Maintenance and CollaborationMaintain and update existing web experiences, ensuring stability and consistency.Diagnose and fix UI bugs, layout issues, and performance regressions.Collaborate closely with design, product, and engineering to implement enhancements.Follow established best practices for code quality, version control, and documentation.Learn and operate within a shared Nx monorepo and team development workflow.Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseQualifications2 to 5+ years of professional web development experience.Strong proficiency in HTML, CSS, and TypeScript.Experience with modern frontend frameworks or libraries (React preferred).Experience consuming REST APIs and integrating frontend with backend services.A solid understanding of responsive design, accessibility standards, and web performance optimization.Comfort with Git and collaborative, code-reviewed development workflows.Nice to HaveExperience with Next.js or a similar meta-framework.Experience with Tailwind CSS or another utility-first styling approach.Exposure to headless CMS platforms (Payload, Sanity, Contentful, and similar).Familiarity with PostgreSQL and SQL.Experience consuming GraphQL APIs.Experience working in a monorepo or shared codebase (Nx, Turborepo).Exposure to AWS, infrastructure as code (CDK, Terraform), or Docker.Interest in media-rich, data-driven, 3D, or spatial applications.Exposure to SEO and web performance tooling (Lighthouse, Web Vitals, and similar).Our StackCore (what you will work in daily)Frontend: React 19, Next.js 15 (App Router), TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.Content: structured data and CMS-driven pages from Payload CMS 3 (headless), consumed through REST and GraphQL APIs.Data: PostgreSQL (light exposure to start), with Drizzle ORM under the hood.Tooling: an Nx-managed monorepo with pnpm workspaces, Git and GitHub, and a shared team workflow.Areas you may be exposed to over timeA Three.js, WebGL, and WebXR rendering engine for 3D and immersive experiences.Real-time digital-twin control over MQTT.AWS deployments via CDK and Docker-based on-prem installations.What We OfferThe opportunity to work on cutting-edge digital twin and immersive visualization technology.A collaborative, product-driven engineering culture.Competitive compensation and benefits.A flexible work environment with real opportunities for growth.
