Will occasionally work until 8:00pm**Weekend rotation listed:**Every 14th weekend 8:15am-3:00pmAs a Float, you may occasionally need to cover the shift of a Triage RN or a Primary Practice, and those hours range from 7:00am-8:00pm.Job DescriptionThe Registered Nurse (RN) promotes and restores patients' health by completing the nursing processes, collaborating with Providers along with the multidisciplinary team. This position is responsible for providing physical and psychological support to patients' friends and family members. The RN possesses skills within their scope of practice and presents with IV skills, strong assessment skills, ability to respond, and lead emergency situations within the clinical setting.Essential ResponsibilitiesThe following description of responsibilities to be performed is not intended to be all-inclusive. Rather, it focuses on the major tasks that must be accomplished.Nursing Service DeliveryMeet, maintain, and follow quality measures to support quality improvementEnsure efficient and accurate patient care coordinationPerform all tasks per Provider order within scope of practice or specialty trainingWork in accordance of primary Providers' clinic schedulePossess prior authorization of medicationsAlexandria Clinic SpecificPrepare and administer injections, immunizations, and medicationsAdminister treatments as prescribed by ProviderAssist in emergent situations with strong knowledge and skill of crash cart and defibrillatorSubmit appropriate charges for services renderedComplete timely and accurate documentationPatient CareFacilitate communication in regards to patient care between patient and Provider and work to be a patient advocate at all timesComplete thorough documentation of all patient interactions in the electronic medical recordEffectively communicate with patients, families, and those involved in the patients' careRequired QualificationsGraduate of an ADN or BSN school or College of NursingActive and current MN RN LicensureBLS CertifiedPreferred QualificationsEpic experienceCardiac monitor experienceAmbulatory care experienceACLS CertifiedKnowledge, Skills and AbilitiesStrong knowledge of medical terminology and techniquesUtilize knowledge of instruments used for proceduresUnderstand basic rooming of a patientStrong knowledge of preparing patient and room for procedures, and assisting Provider as neededStrong knowledge of Provider practiceAbility to adapt to a wide variety of working environments with strong flexibilityMaintain and gain knowledge of medicationsSkill in Microsoft and general computer knowledgeUnion Position: NoApplicants must be able to meet the physical demands of the position.
