Spectra Tech, Inc. is hiring for an Industrial Maintenance Technician in Coconut Beach, FloridaPosition OverviewThe Industrial Maintenance Technician is responsible for installing, inspecting, and repairing industrial machinery and mechanical equipment in manufacturing plants. This role ensures that all equipment operates efficiently and reliably to minimize production downtime.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPreventive Maintenance: Conduct routine and preventive maintenance on industrial machinery, motors, pneumatic tools, and conveyor systems to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.Troubleshooting and Repair: Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using precision measuring and testing instruments.Inspections and Diagnostics: Regularly inspect machinery for signs of wear, damage, or malfunction and run diagnostic tests to determine required repairs.Equipment Installation: Install and dismantle industrial machinery according to layout plans and blueprints.Component Replacement: Remove and replace defective parts such as motors, gearboxes, bearings, and electrical units; fabricate repair parts using machine shop equipment as needed.Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and parts replaced.Safety Compliance: Adhere to all company and OSHA safety standards, including lock-out/tag-out procedures.Team Collaboration: Communicate and collaborate with production teams to coordinate maintenance schedules and provide updates on repairs.Continuous Improvement: Participate in initiatives to improve equipment reliability and operational efficiency through root cause analysis.Educational RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredTechnical degree or certification in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical systems preferred4 Openings2 on 2nd shift- 2:00 pm- 10:30 pm2 on 3rd shift- 10:00 pm- 6:30 amExperience and SkillsProven experience as an industrial maintenance technicianStrong mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair skillsKnowledge of PLC systems, control systems, and industrial automationAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manualsProficient with hand and power tools and diagnostic equipmentAbility to work independently and as part of a teamExcellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skillsStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsAbility to work in a fast-paced, demanding environmentAbility to lift heavy objects and work in various temperature conditionsKnowledge of food safety standards preferredAt Spectra Tech, Inc., our recruitment team is powered by real people in real time-personally reviewing every application with care and integrity.
