Environmental Health Safety Specialist
The Environmental Health & Safety Specialist will lead environmental compliance and safety initiatives within a fast-paced industrial coating and manufacturing environment. This role places a strong emphasis on environmental program ownership, including regulatory reporting, permitting, and hazardous waste management, while continuing to support overall plant safety.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and manage environmental reports, including TRI, Tier II, and other regulatory filingsServe as the primary liaison with local, state, and federal environmental agenciesLead efforts related to environmental permitting, renewals, and complianceManage and maintain the facility's hazardous waste program, including storage, handling, and disposalOversee environmental sampling and testing (air, water, waste streams), ensuring compliance with regulatory standardsSupport and lead regulatory inspections, audits, and corrective actionsEnsure compliance with EPA and applicable state environmental regulationsSupport implementation of OSHA-compliant safety programs and proceduresMaintain documentation related to safety compliance and reportingQualificationsBachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Health & Safety, or related field preferred3–5+ years of experience in environmental compliance within manufacturing, industrial, or chemical environmentsHands-on experience with environmental reporting, permitting and regulatory compliance, and hazardous waste program managementExperience working directly with regulatory agencies and managing corrective actionsUnderstanding of environmental sampling, testing, and data interpretationWorking knowledge of EPA and OSHA regulationsJ-18808-Ljbffr
