AKE provides structural design and forensic engineering services and is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join its team.Position Details• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience• Registered Professional Engineer in good standing or actively pursuing licensure• On-site position• Occasional travelRequirements• Registered Professional Engineer in good standing or actively pursuing licensure• Excellent verbal and written communication skills• Ability to provide structural engineering design for projects from the conceptual phase through design, plan development, and completion with limited assistance• Background in structural design of various construction types, including wood, masonry, concrete, and steel• Strong aptitude for research, design, investigation, analysis, and critical thinking• Well-organized and detail-oriented• Valid driver’s license• Willingness to work in both office and field settingsResponsibilities• Manage your own projects• Maintain close communication with clients• Perform field inspections• Thoroughly review and apply applicable codes, standards, and industry literature• Develop and review construction documentsIn addition to providing structural design services for a variety of building types, AKE is a multidisciplinary forensic engineering firm providing services to insurance carriers, attorneys, architects, contractors, and other engineering firms.
