Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the Maintenance Technician will be responsible for maintaining production and quality standards by ensuring the continuous operation of machinery and mechanical equipment.What you'll do:Maintain and repair equipment used to manufacture, package, and convey PVC conduitModify equipment to aid and improve the manufacturing processEnsure safe and operable condition of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing PM requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems and production machines per manufacturer's instructionsAssist in all aspects of installation, modification, maintenance and repair or plant manufacturing equipment and systemsPerform maintenance on building and groundsFollow diagrams, sketches, operation manuals, manufacturer's instructions to troubleshoot malfunctionsControl downtime by informing Production team of routine preventative maintenance requirementsWhat you'll bring:High school diploma or equivalentStrong mechanical and electrical skill set1-3 years experience performing electrical/mechanical maintenance in an industrial manufacturing environmentAbility to lift 50 pound unassistedExperience with installation of machinery and equipment in a light industrial environmentWithin 3 months, you'll:Completed all required trainingBe well-versed in Atkore's Business System and the importance of your role to daily operationsAtkore is a five-time Great Place to Work certified company and a three-time Top Workplaces USA award winner! Placement in the range depends on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, relevant experience, skills, seniority, performance, shift, travel requirements, and business or organizational needs and may change over time.
