Big-D Pacific is looking for a Superintendent to join the team located in Pleasanton, CA.Key responsibilities include:Manage safety, quality, schedule, production, logistics and coordinationRepresents the company in meetings and interfaces with all project stakeholdersCoordinates and directs all subcontractor and vendorsWorks with the project team to establish goals and develop accountabilityAssumes responsibility for productivity of crafts, efficient use of materials and equipment, and contractual performance of the projectWorks closely with city officials in requesting and coordinating applicable inspections, including starting dialogue with officials from day oneVerifies to ensure subcontractor completes the assigned scope of workRequirements:7+ years or more of related experience working on commercial construction projects as a SuperintendentTilt-wall experience is preferredLocal subcontractor market and industry experiencePossess strong computer skills; proficient in MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook, Procore, P6Ability to effectively lead and manage teamsAbility to interact and communicate effectively with project team, customers, subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and employees at all levels of the organizationExtensive knowledge of established construction practices, procedures, and techniques as well as applicable local, state and federal building codesAbility to read and understand work orders, budget, change orders, safety standards, plans specifications, shop drawings, blue prints, submittals, manufacturer's literature, contract documents and specifications, and CPM schedulesUnderstand construction scheduling and sequencingAbility to maintain confidentiality and professionalism in the workplaceThorough and attentive to details; extremely organized and able to prioritize and multitaskAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of abstract variables in situations where only limited standardization existsBenefits:FREE Medical and Dental Insurance for employees and familiesEmployer Contribution into Health Savings Account (HSA) each month401k with Employer matchLife InsuranceOptional Supplemental benefitsPaid Time Off & HolidaysCompany Vehicle, mobile phone, and computerAdditional Job Information: Interested applicants must submit their resume for consideration using our applicant tracking system.
