As a leading utility construction and services partner across North America, we support critical power projects, including transmission, distribution, substations, and renewable energy, with an unwavering focus on safety, quality, and disciplined project execution.As we continue expanding our Texas Power Delivery operations, we are strengthening our Quality organization to support field teams and ensure every project is executed in full compliance with contract, code, and client expectations.We are looking for a QA/QC Inspector- Transmission and Substations, a field-based quality professional who plays a key role in verifying that construction activities meet all approved drawings, specifications, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), applicable codes, and Aecon's quality standards.This role is centered on quality control execution, inspection, documentation, and verification, while supporting the broader Quality Management System under the leadership of the QA/QC Manager.What You'll Do Here:Perform field inspections for civil, structural, and electrical work on transmission and substation projectsVerify construction activities comply with approved drawings, specifications, codes, standards, and project requirementsExecute and track Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and defined hold pointsIdentify quality issues, issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and verify corrective and preventive actionsMaintain detailed inspection reports, daily logs, and quality recordsWitness and document testing activities (e.g., concrete testing, rebar placement, anchor bolts, foundations, electrical installation)Support punch lists, final inspections, and turnover documentationCoordinate with construction, engineering, subcontractors, and project teams to resolve quality issuesVerify proper material handling, storage, and traceabilitySupport internal and client audits under the direction of the QA/QC ManagerPromote adherence to quality, safety, and environmental standards in the fieldWhat You Bring to the Team:3-7 years of QA/QC inspection experience in utility, power delivery, industrial, or heavy civil constructionExperience on transmission, substation, or similar infrastructure projectsAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and inspection requirementsWorking knowledge of construction quality processes and documentationStrong attention to detail and documentation accuracyAbility to work independently in the fieldProficiency with Microsoft Office and digital inspection/reporting toolsWillingness to travel to project sites across TexasValid driver's licenseCertifications such as CWI, ACI, NACE/AMPP, ISO 9001, or similar is preferredOSHA 10 or OSHA 30 is preferredExperience supporting testing and commissioning activities is preferredFamiliarity with client turnover and closeout documentation is preferredAecon fosters belonging within and across our organization.
