Job DescriptionLab Director / Laboratory DirectorLocation: Memphis, TN areaEmployment Type: Full-time, day shiftResponsibilities:Run day-to-day hospital lab operations, ensuring all sections are staffed, running smoothly, and meeting turnaround timesManage lab supervisors and staff, including hiring, scheduling oversight, coaching, addressing performance issues, and implementing discipline when necessaryEnsure lab quality and compliance by overseeing testing accuracy, handling audits, and maintaining CLIA standardsOwn department budget, including operating and capital planning, cost control, and justifying purchasesMake decisions on lab systems and equipment, including instrument selection, issue troubleshooting, and coordination with vendors/ITAct as the point of contact with hospital leadership, reporting performance, addressing operational issues, and aligning with hospital goals Requirements:5+ years of hospital lab leadership experienceASCP (or equivalent) certification required APPLY NOW or contact Megan directly at 617-746-2768 (accepts texts) / Megan@ka-recruiting.com .
