Mental Health Counselor
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Qualified Mental Health Professional (QMHP) to join our team and provide essential mental health and behavioral health services in accordance with Oregon Administrative Rules. The QMHP will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality care to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, ensuring their well-being, and supporting their journey towards improved mental health.
The Mental Health position is client focused, trauma informed, culturally responsive and detail oriented. Applicants will have experience in academic settings for school aged children. It is essential that interested applicants have a commitment to social and emotional supports, organization, confidentiality, effective communication, adept in technology, resourcefulness, and quality service.
Qualifications:
Master’s degree in a mental health-related field (e.g., Counseling, Psychology, Social Work).
State licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or other relevant licensure. Otherwise, able to start the licensure process within 180 days of hire date.
At least two years of professional experience is preferred.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
1. Assessment and Evaluation:
Conduct comprehensive assessments using a Biopsychosocial-spiritual framework to determine the mental health needs of clients.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings.
Continuously evaluate clients’ progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
2. Therapy and Counseling:
Provide evidence-based therapy and counseling services to clients.
Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions.
Offer crisis intervention and support as required.
3. Treatment Planning:
Collaborate with clients and their families, if applicable, to develop treatment goals.
Develop and implement treatment plans that align with Oregon Administrative Rules.
Monitor treatment plan adherence and make modifications as necessary.
4. Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records in compliance with regulations.
Prepare reports as required by Oregon Administrative Rules and agency policies.
5. Client Advocacy:
Advocate for clients’ rights and access to appropriate mental health services.
Assist clients in navigating the mental health system and accessing community resources.
6. Compliance:
Stay informed about and adhere to Oregon Administrative Rules governing mental health services.
Ensure that all services provided meet established quality and ethical standards.
7. Collaboration:
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, nurses, social workers, and other professionals.
Participate in case conferences and treatment planning meetings.
Work with behavioral health team members and overall REAP staff to ensure service continuity to support policy advocacy, trainings, wraparound services and the overall mission of the organization, including attending staff meetings and providing program presentations to staff, board and partners.
8. Professional Development:
Stay current with advancements in mental health and behavioral health practices.
Pursue ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
