The department seeks candidates passionate about teaching and hands-on education with a strong research and teaching background in Mechanical Engineering who are enthusiastic about mentoring undergraduate students and supporting applied learning.Key Responsibilities:Teach undergraduate courses in mechanical engineering, with a particular focus on CAD, machine design, solid mechanics, and control systems.Supervise undergraduate student projects and capstone designCollaborate with faculty on curriculum development and programEngage in professional development and/or applied research related to experimental mechanical engineering education.Provide academic advising and mentoring to students asService activities as needed by the department and theDeveloping a research program involving and suited for undergraduate studentQualifications:Required:Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering.Demonstrated experience with CAD, machine design, and solidStrong commitment to undergraduate teaching andExcellent communication and interpersonalA commitment to the University's mission.Preferred:Industry or academic experience with solid mechanics and controlPrior experience in curriculum or lab development at the universityIndustry experience and a PE license.Application Instructions:Interested applicants should submit the following materials:A cover letter addressing qualifications for theCurriculum vitaeStatement of teachingResearchThree professional letters ofA reflective response on Ex CordeApplications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until the position is filled.
