Sompo has a unique opportunity for a Product Development Analyst in our Product Development team.
The Insurance Product Development team provides product development, maintenance, and regulatory compliance support for each of our Sompo’s lines of business. As a Product Development Analyst, you will be responsible for providing a range of support such as corporate underwriting, product development, and state filings for commercial insurance products across Sompo’ insurance operations.

What you’ll be doing:
Supporting the Underwriting Letter of Authority process including issuing authority documents, facilitating the signature process, and maintaining documents and files
Assisting with the department budget by validating bureau-related and other line of business expenses, facilitating the approval process, and assisting in collecting expense data for the purpose of monitoring and budget process
Managing the state filing process in form and template development, preparing, updating, and publication of required documents including manuals and other related items
Organizing, maintaining, and communicating various departmental data and information, including process improvements
Monitoring the quality control of entries in SharePoint sites
Executing additional duties and projects as needed
What you’ll bring:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience as an underwriting assistant and/or technician
3-5 years of commercial insurance experience
Experience in underwriting, client, and operational support
Technical capabilities in Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, Adobe, and Nitro
Attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks
Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas
Salary Range: $95,000 – $125,000 Actual compensation for this role will depend on several factors including the cost of living associated with your work location, your qualifications, skills, competencies, and relevant experience.
