Senior Project Manager - Water Reclamation and Reuse

Join CDM Smith, where your passion for sustainable water solutions can truly make a difference in communities across the southeast US.In this role, you will be empowered to:Support clients in crafting and executing reuse strategies that address technical, regulatory, and community needs.Lead multidisciplinary teams through all project phases—from early feasibility studies to full implementation.Collaborate with sales leaders to identify new project opportunities and assist with scope and budget development.Build and maintain strong client relationships as a trusted contact, ensuring clarity and consistency throughout projects.Manage project scope, schedule, budget, and risks to deliver predictable and quality outcomes.Work collaboratively across CDM Smith with experts in various fields to provide comprehensive solutions.Mentor and develop junior project managers and technical staff, fostering the next generation of water leaders.Represent the firm at industry conferences and events to enhance visibility in the reuse sector.Identify opportunities for expanding our services in water reuse to existing and new clients.Why Your Work MattersWater reuse is rapidly becoming a critical solution for sustainable water management. Clients are seeking reliable partners to help navigate these changes, explore innovative technologies, and implement effective strategies.As part of our team, you will work on projects that:Enhance drought resilience.Alleviate pressure on limited freshwater resources.Improve water quality by reducing nutrient pollution.Support compliance with Florida's Senate Bill 64 Surface Water Discharge Elimination requirements.Promote sustainable economic growth for communities.Utilize advanced treatment technologies responsibly.Develop new, reliable water sources for those in need.Your contributions will directly support clients taking significant steps toward a sustainable water future.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree.13 years of relevant experience.PMP (PMI), CCM, or DBIA certification required (must obtain within 12 months of hire or promotion).Willingness to travel domestically and/or internationally as project responsibilities dictate.Equivalent additional directly related experience may substitute for a degree.Preferred Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Environmental, Civil, or Chemical Engineering.Professional engineering license strongly preferred.Experience with communities in the southeastern US.Experience managing treatment-related projects exceeding $1M.Prior experience in water reclamation and reuse projects.Experience leading multi-discipline project teams.Outstanding communication, networking, and team-building skills.EEO Statement:CDM Smith is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
