The Post-Processing Technician is responsible for refining, purifying, and preparing cannabis extracts produced from a Luna hydrocarbon extraction system. This role ensures products meet quality, safety, and production standards while maintaining compliance with state regulations and company SOPs.
Key Responsibilities
Operate and monitor post-processing equipment following extraction.
Perform solvent recovery, winterization, filtration, decarboxylation, and distillation processes.
Assist with hydrocarbon extraction operations using Luna extraction equipment.
Prepare biomass and materials for extraction runs.
Transfer, label, and track cannabis materials using inventory systems such as METRC.
Monitor temperatures, pressures, vacuum levels, and process parameters.
Collect samples for quality testing and maintain batch records.
Clean and sanitize extraction and processing equipment.
Follow all safety procedures related to flammable solvents and cannabis processing.
Coordinate with packaging and production teams to ensure workflow efficiency.

Wiped-film distillation
Crystallization (diamonds)
Sauce and terpene separation
Rosin curing and handling
Product formulation for vape cartridges, concentrates, and edibles
Required Qualifications
1–2+ years in cannabis extraction, processing, manufacturing, or laboratory environments.
Understanding of hydrocarbon extraction and post-processing techniques.
Ability to follow SOPs and maintain detailed documentation.
Strong attention to detail and safety awareness.
Ability to lift 40+ lbs and stand for extended periods.
Must meet state cannabis worker permit requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience operating a Luna IOextraction.
Experience with wiped-film distillation equipment.
Knowledge of METRC or seed-to-sale tracking systems.
Chemistry, laboratory, or manufacturing background.
Experience with R&D and process optimization.
