This role will shape procurement strategy, ensure disciplined execution, and drive total cost of ownership (TCO) value across project lifecycles-from early-stage concept through delivery and operational integration. Partnering closely with site leadership, supply chain teams, and project stakeholders, you will enable high-impact outcomes across a global mining operation.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic Leadership & GovernanceLead global strategy, governance, and resourcing for sustaining capital project procurement across operating sitesDevelop and implement aligned procurement strategies in line with the global projects blueprintServe as a trusted advisor to regional and site leadership teams, aligning supply chain outcomes with business objectivesEstablish a rolling 3-year resource plan to support capital projects deliveryProject Delivery & Commercial ExcellencePartner with project delivery teams to define and execute procurement strategies from concept through operationsSupport early-stage project development (concept through pre-feasibility), ensuring strong supply chain foundationsContribute to EPC/EPCM and prime contract evaluations and commercial decision-makingLead supplier qualification, contract negotiation, and sourcing strategies to minimize risk and optimize costOperational Integration & Value CreationDrive integration of procurement outcomes into operations, ensuring long-term value realizationCollaborate with category management and technical advisory teams to standardize equipment and servicesIdentify and execute opportunities for cost savings, risk reduction, and process efficiencySupport operational readiness planning across all supply chain functionsLeadership & CultureLead and mentor cross-functional teams across global operationsFoster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and collaborationPromote strong stakeholder engagement and clear communication with senior leadershipChampion safety, ensuring adherence to policies and proactive risk managementGovernance, Reporting & DataEnsure accurate and timely reporting to stakeholders and leadershipMaintain high-quality procurement and project data for decision-makingSupport effective communication of risks, issues, and performance insightsQualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related discipline10+ years of experience in capital project procurement, ideally within mining or heavy industryProven leadership experience managing large-scale, complex global projectsStrong understanding of EPC/EPCM contracting models and project controlsDemonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and cross-functional teamsExpertise in SAP (MM module preferred) and procurement systemsTrack record of developing and executing enterprise-level supply chain strategiesAngloGold Ashanti Limitedwww.anglogoldashanti.comBENEFITS:AngloGold Ashanti North America (AGANA) offers a competitive benefits package to include company paid medical, dental, and vision insurance premiums; flexible spending accounts; 401(k) retirement plan with employer match; vacation, paid sick leave, paid holidays.
