The Lake is a new private social club opening in October 2026 in Chicago’s River North neighborhood. Spanning 26,000 square feet, the clubhouse will feature a classic brick-and-limestone exterior paired with stylish contemporary interiors, creating an atmosphere that is both elegant and inviting. Designed to foster a vibrant, welcoming community, The Lake will center around an exceptional food and beverage program and bring together individuals from diverse backgrounds who share a love of gathering with family and friends. The club will offer three distinct restaurants, including a French-inspired brasserie, a British American restaurant, and an Italian trattoria. In addition, members will enjoy two cocktail bars, a members’ wine cellar, a roof terrace, three guest rooms, all thoughtfully designed to create a dynamic and curated experience.Topography is a hospitality company founded by Liam Krehbiel in 2021 that develops and operates a collection of luxurious hotels and clubs, with a vision to build a world-class company known for excellence in guest experience, employee satisfaction, financial performance, and environmental stewardship. The Lake will be Topography’s first property to open, with additional projects in development across Wisconsin, New England, and North Carolina.Topography is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Executive Assistant to support company leadership and assist with day-to-day administrative operations across the organization. This role serves as a key operational partner, helping ensure efficient communication, organization, compliance, and administrative execution across multiple functions including membership, finance, operations, and people & culture.The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment, exercises discretion and professionalism, and demonstrates strong organizational and problem-solving skills.Key ResponsibilitiesExecutive & Administrative Support• Provide direct administrative support to executive leadership• Prepare meeting materials, reports, presentations, and correspondence• Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems• Assist with expense reporting, invoice processing, and document management• Coordinate internal communications and follow-up on action items• Other duties and responsibilities as assignedMembership Administration• Manage approval and setup of new members within the People Vine platform• Respond to member billing inquiries in a timely and professional manner• Assist with membership collections and account follow-up• Maintain accurate membership records and administrative documentation• Coordinate with membership and finance teams to ensure smooth onboarding and account management processesContract & Compliance Administration• Support contract administration including tracking, organization, renewals, and filing• Coordinate license and permit management to ensure compliance and timely renewals• Assist with insurance administration, including certificate tracking, policy coordination, and documentation management• Maintain organized compliance records and vendor documentationOperations & Facilities Coordination• Coordinate utility-related administrative tasks with the Chief Engineer• Assist with operational vendor communication and service coordination• Support internal processes that contribute to smooth day-to-day property operationsPeople & Culture Support• Provide general people & culture administrative support• Help coordinate employee programs, meetings, and culture initiatives• Maintain confidentiality regarding employee and organizational informationQualifications• 3+ years of executive assistant, administrative, hospitality, or operations support experience preferred• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines simultaneously• Excellent written and verbal communication skills• High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and administrative systems• Experience with membership or hospitality platforms such as People Vine preferredCore Competencies• Professionalism and discretion• Organization and follow-through• Communication and collaboration• Problem-solving and adaptability• Hospitality mindset and service orientationPhysical Requirements• Ability to sit and work at a computer for extended periods• Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 20 pounds• Ability to move throughout office and property spaces as needed
