Electrical Engineer

Job DescriptionA client of Insight Global is seeking an Electrical Engineer I to support entertainment, industrial automation, and control‑system projects based in Las Vegas, NV. This role focuses on designing electrical systems and control panels for theaters, theme‑park attractions, cruise ship retrofits, stage machinery, and industrial equipment. The engineer will create electrical schematics and wiring documentation, perform load and thermal calculations, ensure compliance with UL and NFPA standards, and collaborate cross‑functionally with mechanical, fabrication, and project teams. This position supports automation hardware integration and maintains engineering data and BOMs within ERP systems.Required Skills & Experience • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical field • 2–4 years of experience in electrical design and engineering • Experience using electrical CAD tools such as AutoCAD Electrical or EPLAN • Ability to design and review schematics, panel layouts, and wiring documentation • Working knowledge of UL508A, NFPA 70, NFPA 79, and functional safety principles (SIL/PL) • Experience producing BOMs and maintaining data in ERP systems (Epicor or similar) • Strong foundation in electrical design, automation hardware, and industrial safetyCompensation$35-40 per hour.Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.Benefit packages for this role may include healthcare insurance offerings and paid leave as provided by applicable law.
