Food Service Dietitian Asstistant

Overview The Dietitian Assistant provides nutrition care and education to the patients on assigned nursing units under the direction of a Registered/Licensed Dietitian. **** This role is for candidates who already have completed their Master's degree and internship and are eligible to sit for the RD exam (verification statement). Qualifications Education Level Field of Study Bachelor's Degree Related Field Responsibilities Provides basic nutrition care services on assigned patient units under the direction of a Registered/Licensed Dietitian (nutrition care includes facilitating patient visitation, taking diet histories, screening for nutrition status, instructing patients on modified diets as prescribed, and recording pertinent information in the patient's medical record). Educates pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients toward a nutritionally balanced diet. Is aware of patient level of comprehension so that it may be understood and followed. Monitors food quality. Effectively and accurately utilizes the current diet manual. Participates in the scheduled test tray program. Actively participates with other disciplines in unit interdisciplinary care conferences. Compensation and Benefits The compensation range for this position is $23.52per hour - $39.28per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
