Senior Accountant

Ledgent Finance and Accounting has an immediate need for a Senior Accountant with a manufacturing partner of ours in the Golden Valley area! Pay: $40-$50/hrMon-Fri 8am-5pmContract to hireASAP startKey ResponsibilitiesPerform and oversee month‑end and year‑end close, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statementsMaintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAPPrepare and analyze monthly financial reports, identifying variances and trends for managementManage accruals, amortization, depreciation, prepaid expenses, and fixed assetsSupport budgeting and forecasting efforts by providing accurate financial data and analysisAssist with external audits, tax filings, and regulatory compliance requirementsEnsure effective internal controls and improve accounting processes and documentationSupervise or mentor staff accountants and AP/AR team members, as neededCollaborate cross‑functionally to support operational and strategic initiatives QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance 4-7+ years of progressive accounting experienceStrong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting standardsExperience with ERP or accounting systems (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Dynamics, SAP, Oracle)Advanced proficiency in ExcelPrior experience in audit support or public accounting preferredCPA or CPA‑eligible status a plus All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
