Job Description Master Residential HVAC Service Technician (Contract-to-Hire) – Steira AirSteira Air is seeking an experienced and customer-focused Master Residential HVAC Service Technician to join our team in a contract-to-hire role. This position is ideal for a seasoned professional who thrives in residential environments, delivers exceptional customer experiences, and takes pride in both technical excellence and mentorship.We are looking for a technician with 6–7+ years of hands-on experience , the ability to train and guide others , and the professionalism to represent our brand in customers’ homes. Candidates must have their own tools and be available for on-call emergency service rotation .Key ResponsibilitiesDiagnose, service, and repair residential HVAC systems with precision and efficiencyInstall new heating and air conditioning systems in residential settingsPerform routine preventative maintenance to ensure system performance and longevityRespond to on-call and emergency service requests , including after-hours as neededDeliver a high level of customer service , clearly explaining issues and solutions to homeownersTrain and mentor junior technicians to improve overall team capabilityMaintain accurate service documentation and communicate effectively with customers and managementFollow all safety standards and company proceduresQualificationsMinimum 6–7 years of residential HVAC experienceStrong customer service and communication skills —must be comfortable working directly with customers in their homesProven ability to train and develop other techniciansSolid understanding of HVAC systems, controls, and wiring diagramsExcellent troubleshooting and critical thinking abilitiesMust have own tools and reliable transportationWillingness and ability to participate in an on-call rotation for emergency serviceProfessional, dependable, and self-motivatedWhat We’re Looking ForAt Steira Air, we’re looking for more than just a technician—we want a trusted professional who customers feel confident inviting into their homes.
