Hospice/Palliative Medicine Physician

Palliative Care opening in North CarolinaSeeking an experienced, fellowship trained Palliative Care physician to join established Hospice and Palliative Care program. Schedule includes a 4-day work week (8 am - 6 pm) Provide consults in both inpatient and outpatient settings in person and via a telemedicine service Applicants with Family Medicine or Internal Medicine residency training are preferred. Employed Opportunity available due to program expansion Established palliative care team inclusive of 2 physicians and 6 advanced practice providers 16-bed Palliative Care Unit Weekend call 1:4 Administrative responsibilities will include participation in hospital committees, meetings, and projects that require palliative care expertise Interdisciplinary care team approach Ability to live only an hour away from the beautiful beaches of the North Carolina coast Competitive Compensation and Comprehensive Benefits to include: Administrative Stipend, Relocation, Paid Vacation and Sick, Malpractice/Tail Coverage, 401k matching/457, Medical, Dental, & VisionClinical Responsibilities Complete patient admission and discharges Perform daily clinical rounds on inpatient units Develop and update patient plans of care Provide clinical support and consultation for the Advanced Practice Provider team, palliative care unit, and field staff Direct/participate in family conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings Participate in agency quality improvement and patient/family experience activities Teach and supervise fellows, residents, and medical students Provide care in the outpatient palliative care clinicThe Dickinson Avenue Arts District offers a vibrant arts, music, culinary and festival scene in the Uptown Greenville district.
