Position Summary:The Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) serves as a key liaison between Human Resources and assigned corporate client groups within a retail environment. This role is responsible for delivering operational excellence across core HR functions, with a strong focus on employee relations, associate engagement, and data integrity. The HRBP ensures accurate organizational structures, manages employee data within Workday, and supports talent processes while delivering a seamless, end-to-end associate lifecycle from onboarding through offboarding.The HRBP partners closely with Recruiting, Learning & Development, and Compensation to deliver integrated HR solutions that align with business objectives. Combining strategic partnership with hands-on execution, this role requires strong attention to detail, systems proficiency, sound judgment, and a commitment to fostering an inclusive, high-performing workplace culture.Key Accountabilities:HR Operations & Administrative ExcellenceMaintain and update organizational charts, ensuring alignment with current business structures and leadership changesAccurately manage employee data and transactions within Workday (hires, transfers, promotions, terminations, reporting lines, job changes)Audit HR data regularly to ensure integrity, compliance, and reporting accuracyServe as a subject matter expert on HR systems and processes for assigned client groupsAssociate Lifecycle ManagementOversee the end-to-end associate journey, including onboarding, development, internal mobility, and offboardingPartner with Talent Acquisition to support hiring processes, including requisition creation and approvalsDraft and manage offer letters, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and alignment with compensation guidelinesCoordinate onboarding processes to ensure a smooth and engaging new hire experienceManage offboarding processes, including exit documentation, exit interviews, and system updatesEmployee RelationsServe as the first point of contact for employee relations matters, providing guidance to managers and associates on workplace concernsConduct and support investigations related to employee complaints, policy violations, and workplace conflictsPartner with leadership to resolve issues in a fair, consistent, and compliant mannerCoach managers on performance management, feedback, and disciplinary actionsEnsure proper documentation of employee relations cases and maintain confidentiality at all timesMonitor trends in employee relations and proactively recommend solutions to improve the work environmentCorporate Culture & EngagementChampion company values and help foster a positive, inclusive, and high-performing workplace culturePartner with leadership to drive employee engagement initiatives, including surveys, action planning, and recognition programsSupport and execute engagement activities, events, and communications that enhance the associate experienceAnalyze engagement survey results and provide actionable insights to leadersAct as a cultural ambassador, reinforcing behaviors that align with company valuesJob Architecture & DocumentationCreate, update, and maintain job descriptions in alignment with organizational needs and compensation frameworksEnsure job descriptions reflect accurate responsibilities, qualifications, and levelingPartner with leadership to evolve roles as business needs changeBusiness PartnershipSupport leaders with organizational planning, headcount tracking, and workforce changesProvide guidance on HR policies, procedures, and best practicesAct as a trusted partner to managers, ensuring consistent application of HR processesCompliance & ReportingEnsure compliance with company policies and employment regulationsGenerate and analyze HR reports (headcount, turnover, engagement metrics, organizational changes)Support audits and documentation requirements as needed Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field 3–6+ years of HR experience, preferably in a retail or corporate environmentStrong experience with Workday or similar HRIS systemsExperience handling employee relations matters and investigationsDemonstrated ability to manage high-volume administrative HR processes with accuracyStrong organizational skills and attention to detailExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to handle sensitive information with confidentialityPreferred SkillsExperience supporting corporate functions in a retail organizationFamiliarity with job architecture and compensation frameworksAdvanced Excel or reporting skillsExperience driving engagement and culture initiativesProcess improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency and scalability Key CompetenciesDetail-oriented and highly organizedSystems-savvy with strong technical aptitudeStrong judgment and problem-solving skills in employee relations mattersProactive and solutions-drivenStrong follow-through and accountabilityAbility to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced environmentPassion for building positive employee experiences and workplace culture Details:Full-time role located in Secaucus, New JerseyHybrid work model includes in-office days on Monday, Tuesday, and ThursdayHealth, Vision & Dental Insurance for full-time employees401K with employer match programGenerous employee discount
