Assistant Group Lead/Van Driver

Be a part of a growing community of early childhood educators who care about their teachers' joy and growth.Positions available in the following classrooms:School AgeResponsibilities:Ensure the health, safety and welfare of children, staff and any other passengers while driving bus/vanBasic vehicle maintenance, including but not limited to regular safety checks/inspections, scheduling oil changes as needed, etc.Ensure your classroom is in compliance with child care state licensing regulationsProvide daily physical gross motor activities with or without equipment or materials indoors and outdoorsComplete any required daily forms such as Child Tracking Sheets, Attendance Records, and any other paperwork assigned such as Incident/Accident reportsSkillsExperience working with School Age childrenKnowledge of or ability to learn early childhood education standardsAbility to create a positive learning environment for childrenCommunication skills that reflect professionalism and kindness at all timesProactive and team-oriented attitude to create a successful team environmentMust be able to maintain a strict classroom schedule to ensure State "ratio" complianceMeet minimum requirements by DCYFQualificationsMust pass background checkProvide a negative TB test, PhysicalHave or be willing to obtain First Aid/CPR CertificationMust be able to lift up to 40 poundsFrequent periods of standing, stooping, bending, and occasional runningMust be minimum of 21 years of age to driveDrivers-must provide a current state driver's license and clean driving recordHigh School Diploma required, BSAC (or willing to get BSAC training)Willingness to drive a van/mini-bus and to complete EDU 119Benefits (Some for Full Time Employees only):Insurance to include: Major Medical, Dental, VisionPaid Time Off including paid Holidays and paid select trainingReduced Childcare benefit-up to 50% off at our renowned childcare facilitiesContinuing education classes in the ECE field partially or 100% paid by employerPart-time schedule, contingent upon school calendar, of 1-6pm, M-FWork/Life balance to allow you time to enjoy time with your family.
