Job Title: Registered Nurse – Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Unit Location: Ithaca, NY Contract Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift (3 × 12-hour shifts per week) Day Shift (3 × 12-hour shifts per week) Hours per Week: 36 hours Patient Ratio: 1:4 – 1:5 Position Overview We are seeking an experienced Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in an acute care hospital setting. This role requires strong clinical judgment, the ability to manage multiple patients, and experience caring for telemetry patients with varying acuity levels. Responsibilities Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients Monitor and interpret cardiac telemetry rhythms and report changes promptly Perform patient assessments, administer medications, and implement individualized care plans Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge plans Ensure patient safety, infection control, and compliance with hospital policies Required Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state or compact) Minimum 1–2 years of recent Medical-Surgical and/or Telemetry experience BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required Strong cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation skills Ability to work independently in a fast-paced acute care environment For more details reach at ukhan@navitashealth.com or Call / Text at 518-862-1204.
