We are recruiting an SAP Domain Leader Manufacturing for one of our clients. Position ProfileOur client is an international food industry player driving an ambitious growth strategy in North America (SC, OH) and Canada (Toronto). To effectively support the rapid scaling of operations they are seeking a hands-on, practical, and technically capable SAP Domain Leader to join their team.The SAP Domain Leader is responsible for the functional design, implementation, and continuous improvement of the specific SAP Manufacturing Solution but also the applicative landscape surrounding this domain. Acting as the key bridge between business stakeholders and IT, the Domain Leader ensures that SAP and applications landscape are aligned with company objectives, deliver business value, and comply with global standardsThis key position will report directly to the ERP PROGRAM MANAGER Primary Responsibilities 1. Projects · Defines the project scope (drafting of specifications, cost estimates, and project plan)· Proposes solutions (translating business requirements into functional and technical solutions) while taking the existing IT systems into account· Coordinates with the various project stakeholders (business partners, external parties, IT team)· Ensures the smooth running of the project (cost, timeline/scheduling, quality, compliance with the initial business requirements, monitoring committees, acceptance testing)· Responsible for the quality of the solution development and deployment 1. Support / Maintenance: · On a day-to-day basis, ensures that applications within his/her area of responsibility remain operational (corrective maintenance / preventive maintenance)· Handles corrective maintenance by identifying the root cause of the problem and implementing a permanent fix· Analyzes and challenges the requirements and solutions requested by the business· Proposes solutions (functional and technical) with the goal of simplifying and standardizing· Monitors activity within their scope (incidents / change requests) and regularly updates the BKU on the progress· Works closely with the infrastructure team on issues related to their domain· Assists the business in adopting new application features that have been implemented· 2. General: · Acts as the primary point of contact for business leaders (process owners, directors) to translate business needs into technical requirements· Proactively identifies opportunities to optimize SAP business processes, leveraging new SAP technologies· Implements application changes within their scope, or, with the CIO’s approval, may have a third-party vendor carry out development work within their scope· Conducts the necessary tests (unit, integration) before performing acceptance testing with the business unit· Organizes and leads IT-Business monitoring committees (monitoring of metrics, workload planning, priorities, etc.) for their domain, and may participate in monitoring committees outside their domain· Develops their workload plan with the CIO and prioritizes urgent issues on a daily basis· Adheres to internal IT processes and SLA· Shares with his manager any issues or information that could impact the IT system· Acts as the primary point of contact for business leaders (process owners, directors) to translate business needs into technical requirements· Proactively identifies opportunities to optimize SAP business processes, leveraging new SAP technologies· Implements application changes within their scope, or, with the CIO’s approval, may have a third-party vendor carry out development work within their scope· Conducts the necessary tests (unit, integration) before performing acceptance testing with the business unit· Organizes and leads IT-Business monitoring committees (monitoring of metrics, workload planning, priorities, etc.) for their domain, and may participate in monitoring committees outside their domain· Develops their workload plan with the CIO and prioritizes urgent issues on a daily basis· Adheres to internal IT processes and SLA· Shares with his manager any issues or information that could impact the IT system Qualifications · Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Information Systems· Minimum 8-10+ years of SAP functional experience, including at least 3-5 years in a leadership or senior architect role· Deep, expert-level knowledge of SAP modules PP / QM · Sound understanding of and experience with underlying business processes and functions· Ideally, experience with an end-to-end SAP S/4HANA Private Cloud implementation (or any other SAP version)· Knowledge of Rockwell Automation’s MES (Manufacturing Execution System) PLEX will be a plus· Familiarity with SAP BTP (Business Technology Platform), Fiori UX, and analytics tools is a strong plusKnowledge of food industries is a strong plus· ProfileThe ideal candidate is:· Curious, practical, and solution-oriented· Able to operate with diverse teams and stakeholders· Focus on delivering measurable business value and improving business user experience· Excellent communications skills being able to talk to the business without “technical words” Work Location and Employment Type:· Location: Columbus OH, or Greenville, SC, or Toronto, CA.
