Concrete Finisher

DescriptionMcGill Restoration is seeking an experienced and dependable Concrete Finisher to join our restoration and construction team. The Concrete Finisher is responsible for placing, finishing, repairing, and restoring concrete surfaces on commercial, industrial, and structural restoration projects. This role requires attention to detail, knowledge of concrete restoration methods, and the ability to work safely and efficiently in a team-oriented environment.Responsibilities & Duties:Place, level, smooth, and finish concrete surfaces using hand and power toolsPerform concrete repairs, patching, resurfacing, and restoration workInstall forms, expansion joints, and reinforcing materials as requiredOperate equipment such as power trowels, grinders, mixers, cutting tools, air hammers, earth tampers, small mechanical hoists, and a wide variety of other equipment and instrumentsApply sealers, coatings, and curing compounds to finished concreteUnderstand and be able to complete work at an acceptable level in three or more of the following tasks: concrete finishing, setting forms, sandblasting, patching, gunite, specialty coating application, fluid applied waterproofing, painting, and specialty finishesAssist with demolition and surface preparation activitiesMaintain clean and safe work areas in accordance with OSHA and company safety standardsPerform manual work functions associated with specific jobsIdentify and report quality or safety concerns to supervisorsMaintain working relationships with crew members, other on-site companies, and customersTravel to various job sites as neededMust report to work at designated location and timePerform other duties as assignedRequirementsQualifications:2+ years of concrete finishing or restoration experience, requiredExperience with commercial, industrial, or structural concrete projects preferredKnowledge of concrete mixes, curing processes, and finishing techniquesAbility to use and demonstrate use of tools and equipmentDemonstrated problem solving and people skillsHigh accuracy in work, attention to detailProven oral and written skills, requiredReliability and thirst for learningAbility to travel as neededRequired tools: Finishing tools, dust brush, razor knife, flat razor scraper, 5-in-1 tool, screwdrivers, hammer, wire brush, water nozzle - Company can help procure as neededPhysical Demands:Physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
