Responsibilities
Implement individualized behavior intervention plans based on applied behavior analysis (ABA) principles to support clients with autism and other developmental disabilities
Collect, record, and analyze data on client behaviors to monitor progress and inform treatment adjustments
Assist with patient assessments, including intake procedures and diagnostic evaluations, ensuring accurate documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Support patients during therapy sessions, promoting engagement and positive interactions while maintaining safety standards
Collaborate with supervisors, clinicians, and families to develop tailored strategies that enhance learning and behavioral outcomes
Maintain detailed medical records, notes, and documentation of therapy sessions using appropriate medical terminology and records management systems
Participate in ongoing training related to behavioral health, special education techniques, medical documentation, and patient care best practices
Experience
Prior experience working with children or individuals with disabilities is highly preferred
Familiarity with behavioral therapy techniques, especially applied behavior analysis (ABA), is advantageous
Experience working with people with autism or other developmental disabilities is a plus
Knowledge of medical terminology, patient assessment procedures, and HIPAA compliance is beneficial
Demonstrated ability to collect data accurately and maintain detailed medical records
Background in special education or behavioral health fields enhances your effectiveness in this role
