*Pay rate:* $24-25/HR
*Job Description*
*Responsibilities*
* Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and mechanical blueprints.
* Measure materials using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
* Perform MIG welding (GMAW), including FCAW (Flux-Cored Arc Welding), on sheet metal and structural steel.
* Use power tools, plasma cutters, and hand tools to cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
* Perform shop math calculations to ensure accurate dimensions and proper assembly.
* Operate cranes and machining tools for fabrication and material-handling tasks.
* Assemble welded components using mechanical knowledge of metal materials and fabrication techniques.
* Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
* Collaborate with team members on fabrication, assembly, and site-specific welding projects.
* Follow American Welding Society (AWS) standards and established welding procedures.
* Maintain a safe working environment by following all safety protocols and using appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
*Requirements*
* Extensive construction-site and/or fabrication-shop experience.
* Proficiency in MIG welding techniques.
* Ability to accurately read and interpret technical drawings and mechanical blueprints.
* Experience using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
* Strong understanding of shop math and basic mathematical calculations.
* Knowledge of sheet metal fabrication and structural steel components.
* Experience operating power tools, plasma cutters, welding equipment, and hand tools.
* Mechanical knowledge of machining, assembly, and fabrication processes.
* Familiarity with crane operation and material handling.
* Strong understanding of welding and construction-site safety protocols.
* Ability to perform accurate measurements and quality-control inspections.
* Commitment to safety, quality, and AWS welding standards.

Pay: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour
