Warehouse Employee

DescriptionKamco Supply Corp. of Boston is New England's largest one stop source and distributor of commercial building products including acoustical ceiling systems, architectural doors and hardware, drywall, steel framing, insulation, and exterior systems.We are seeking to add a Warehouse Employee to our team.We want a team player who can assist our drivers by loading/unloading construction materials on and off our trucks. The team member will help with daily warehouse tasks and collaborate with the team to ensure all the daily tasks are completed in a timely manner.Responsibilities Include But Not Limited ToSorting and placing received materials on racks, shelves, and/or bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, color, etc.Shipping/Receiving/Order PickingOperating a forklift and pallet jackAssemble customer work orders for pickupAssemble customer orders on trucks for delivery when neededAlways ensure a good customer experienceMaintain proper inventory levels by utilizing an RF scanner and assisting in inventory countsMaintain warehouse cleanliness, for example, materials returned to shelves properly and in order, aisles are clean and accessible, sweeps as neededFollow all safety rules and policies, including all mandated safety protective equipmentRequirementsForklift experience preferredPosition involves heavy lifting 50-100 lbsBuilding product knowledge and sheetrock handling desirable but not requiredReliable transportationAbility to work during inclement weatherMust be able to work in a fast-paced environmentApplicants must pass a pre-employment physical examination including a lift test and drug screening.We will train the right person!The requirements listed are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
