Machine Operator

Machine OperatorWieland is hiring a Machine Operator. The Machine Operator will be responsible for setting and operating a pointing machine to prepare stock for the Bench operation. Performs the duties of loading, operating and unloading overhead crane to properly supply and remove tubing to production operations. Operates equipment safely per standard operating procedure and initiates improvement to safe operations as appropriate. This role is located in Duncansville, PA and will be fully on-site.Starting Pay: $19.06 to $20.21/hr for the 60-90 day training period, then $23.80 to $25.28/hr depending on the department/position.Schedule: 2nd shift, 3:00pm to 11:00pm. Training on 1st shift from 7:00am to 3:00pm for estimated 2 to 4 weeks.Pay Schedule: WeeklyResponsibilitiesMaintains safe working environment by adhering to all safety procedures and policies, including use of Personal Protective Equipment as requiredMaintains effective communication with other employees, including supervisor/management and during shift changes to effectively complete tasksProduces material within prescribed tolerances using appropriate measuring device with focus on the "next customer" in a timely mannerMaintains a clean, neat, and orderly work environmentPerforms the process of putting tubing through rinse, clean, soap, acid and/or bright dip operations using proper strapsMaintains accurate records by posting and recording information as needed on traveler tickets and/or daily production sheetsSet up pointer machine to execute proper point on tubing for bench operationWorks from information on point included on traveler ticket and as furnished by supervision to determine correct point size and lengthOperates pointers as requiredDemonstrates proficiency in the various tasks identified on the machine's training evaluation formOperates overhead floor crane to properly supply and remove tubing to production operations as requiredLoads and unloads #355 gas anneal furnace and also controls heats and speeds on #355 furnaceAble to work various overtime as business needs requireCross-trains in other areas as neededQualificationsAbility to lift, push, pull, stand, squat throughout the shiftSuccessfully complete "Crane Safety" training programSuccessful vision screening exam as prescribed by HR/Safety DepartmentMaintains thorough knowledge of equipment/machine specific SOP's and Quality PlanJoining Wieland's team gives youBenefits - Including Medical, Dental, Vision, Disability, Life & more!Retirement Savings - 401(k) contribution + match.Work/Life Balance - Paid Vacation & Holidays.Growth Opportunities - We have over 9,000+ employees worldwide and 40+ locations in North America alone.
