Director, Hospital Benefits & Total Rewards: Shape a high-impact, hybrid Total Rewards strategy at a premier Southeast Texas health system, elevate employee experience at scale, and make a career-defining move in Houston 🚀.The Director, Hospital Benefits & Total Rewards will thrive in a mission-driven, patient-first culture with measurable outcomes, innovation-forward leadership, and clear advancement pathways that empowers one to deliver lasting impact.Embedded in the administrative office, the Director, Hospital Benefits & Total Rewards will advance programs across a system known for Top Workplace Recognition, a strong National Reputation in respected industry rankings, Quality & Safety Excellence with Magnet designation, National Awards for community health impact, Clinical Strength with U.S. News-ranked specialties, Innovation Leader status as a “Most Wired” system, remarkable System Scale & Reach across Greater Houston, and a deep Community Focus that expands access to care.Reporting to the VP, Compensation, Benefits & HRIS, the Director, Hospital Benefits & Total Rewards partners with the Director of Compensation and Manager of HRIS to architect an integrated Total Rewards roadmap; lead a high-performing Benefits team; oversee consultants, brokers, actuaries, and trustees; ensure compliant design and administration across health and welfare, pension, 401(k)/403(b), non-qualified, life/AD&D, short-term disability, voluntary benefits, and wellness; drive ERISA, IRS, DOL, HIPAA, COBRA, and FMLA compliance; advance HRIS-enabled automation and self-service; and build ROI dashboards. Candidates most likely to secure quick interviews will have a Bachelors degree in Business, HR Management, or related discipline, along with healthcare-specific employee benefits experience, including exposure to alternative health plans and value-based care programs, has experience leading benefits strategy; also someone who brings proven leadership in benefits strategy and who is well-versed in retirement plan management, including 401(k) and pension plans.
