At Blu Technology, the Director of Marketing is a hands-on growth leader responsible for executing DTC marketing initiatives while supporting the expansion of a growing B2B business. This role drives revenue, customer acquisition, and lifetime value across channels—while building a differentiated brand in the RV aftermarket.
This is a player/coach role that partners closely with the Vice President of Marketing. The Director of Marketing contributes to strategy, budget, and executive alignment. The Director owns day-to-day execution, performance optimization, and team leadership—translating strategy into results across both DTC and B2B customer journeys.
Success in this role requires a strong operator who can balance performance marketing rigor with go-to-market support for B2B growth.
Responsibilities
Execute brand positioning, messaging, and creative strategy across both DTC and B2B channels including events and partnerships.
Own the day-to-day, hands-on execution and optimization of D2C marketing plans and integrated marketing campaigns across all channels to drive sales growth, customer acquisition/retention, conversion and loyalty.
Lead the integration of digital marketing channels — including email, paid digital/SEM and social media — into campaign strategies and ensure they are measured for effectiveness.
Direct the development of social media content, including listening and reviews strategies, to organically build brand awareness.
Monitor website performance, merchandising, and conversion optimization.
Work with marketing and executive leadership team in the development of an Amazon Marketplace strategy that highlights product offering and drives sales growth while ensuring consistent brand presentation.
Support the development and execution of B2B go-to-market initiatives in partnership with marketing leadership, sales, and product.
Direct the development of sales enablement tools including pitch decks, one-pagers, case studies, and launch materials.
Personally contribute to messaging, content development, and campaign execution.
Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure consistent brand presentation across customer, partner, retailer, and sales touchpoints.
Assist in market and customer research, persona development, and competitive intelligence to guide strategic marketing and product development decisions.
Track and report marketing performance to ensure KPIs are met across DTC and B2B initiatives.
Provide regular data-led insights and recommendations to the Vice President of Marketing and leadership team to inform campaign development, product positioning, and messaging.
Recommend reallocation of budget and effort based on performance and growth priorities.
Assist in the management of external agencies
Lead and mentor a small marketing team in a player/coach capacity.
Research and implement AI adoption across marketing, integrating AI-powered creative, insights, and workflows into how we build brand, content, and campaigns.
Experience
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
7+ years of marketing experience with hands-on DTC execution and exposure to B2B marketing.
Proven ability to operate as a player/coach in a collaborative leadership model.
Strong experience in paid media, lifecycle marketing, CRO, and performance analytics.
Experience supporting B2B go-to-market or sales enablement initiatives.
Comfortable balancing multiple audiences, funnels, and growth priorities.
Data-driven, execution-oriented, and adaptable in a growing organization.
