Job Title: Veterinarian Location: Pittsburgh, PA Type: Direct Hire Contractor Work Model: Onsite   ObjectiveProvide high-quality medical and surgical care to shelter animals, public clinic patients, and wildlife in a high-volume animal welfare environment. Deliver veterinary services through shelter-based clinics, mobile unit outreach, and community programs serving low-income and housing-challenged pet owners.ResponsibilitiesPerform medical and surgical care including sterilization procedures (pediatric and HQHVSN)Conduct diagnostics, dentistry, preventive care, and treatmentsPrescribe and administer medications, vaccinations, and anti-parasite treatmentsPerform euthanasia per established protocolsDevelop and implement veterinary care and disease control protocolsMaintain medical records and controlled substance logsProvide on-call coverage for shelter and foster animals on rotating basisParticipate in community outreach clinics and mobile unit eventsSupervise and train veterinary staff, students, and volunteersMaintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulationsRequirementsDoctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM or VMD) degreeCurrent state veterinary license or ability to obtainValid driver's licenseUSDA APHIS accreditation or ability to obtainDEA license or willingness to applyAbility to lift and move up to 50 poundsAbility to stand, walk, bend, and stoop for extended periodsPreferencesShelter medicine experienceHQHVSN surgical experience   System One, and its subsidiaries including Joulé, ALTA IT Services, and Mountain Ltd., are leaders in delivering outsourced services and workforce solutions across North America.
