St. Mary’s Healthcare has also been named a 2026 Times Union Top Workplace—the first acute care hospital in the Capital Region to earn the distinction since the Times Union launched the recognition program 14 years ago.Job Requisition: DIETI001272Employment Type: Full-TimeShift: DaysHours Per Week: 40 hoursLocation: Memorial campusHiring Range : $60,361.60-$80,745.60The actual compensation for this position will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.ResponsibilitiesProvides compassionate patient-centered careProvides Medical Nutrition Therapy to patients using evidence-based practicesProvides consultation with the healthcare team to ensure efficient and effective Nutrition careMonitors and evaluates nutrition outcomes of patients; adjusts care plans as needed.Educates patients, the healthcare team, dietetic interns, and the community via various means including one-on- one counseling, interdisciplinary rounds, committee membership and community events.Participates in departmental and inter-departments process improvement activities, regulatory surveys, malnutrition documentation as requiredDocuments patient care via Electronic Health RecordMeets and maintains the qualifications to provide care to patients in the assigned areaAdditional ResponsibilitiesOther duties as assigned.Education, Training & ExperienceRegistered Dietitian (RD) or CDR-Eligible within 6 months of hire or transfer. As of January 1, 2024, a master’s degree in Nutrition/Dietetics and completion of an approved Dietetic Internship is required. Individuals who established eligibility for the Registration Exam for dietitians on or before December 31,2023 or those already registered are not required by CDR to obtain a graduate degree.Certifications / LicensureDietitian/Nutritionist from the NY State Office of the Professions or subspecialty certification preferred.Required Skills And AttributesAbility to organize and establish day-to-day priorities while utilizing critical thinking skills in all aspects of the job.
