The Accounts Payable Manager is an integral member of Financial Services and is pivotal to the company's overall payables objectives. The ideal candidate is a servant leader who humbly and respectfully inspires exceptional performance within the department while adhering to the highest standards of integrity and professionalism. The Accounts Payable Manager must have an appetite for critical thinking and desire to drive the growth and improvement of the company's payables processes.ResponsibilitiesCoordinates and directs the payables department that is responsible for 2,000+ vendors across 5 entities and leads this team in issue resolutionEngaging mentor who cultivates knowledgeable and effective team members through individual growth and developmentCollaborates with regional finance as the payables point of contact in Financial ServicesAs primary administrator, effectively designs and consistently maintains the company's payables related systemsIdentifies opportunities and implements improvements to internal payables processes and procedures to enhance accuracy and efficiencyEvaluates and applies regulatory changes to ensure company's complianceCoordinates and prepares year-end regulatory compliance, including 1099 preparationRequired QualificationsBachelor's degree in business programFive years or more of related experience in accounting or accounts payableAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills; proficient in other MS Office productsExcellent written and verbal communication skills for effective communication with various internal and external groupsExperience with ERP and vendor/supplier management systemsPossesses the ability to address details in a time-effective mannerAble to travel approximately 10% annuallyAbility to work on-site full-timePreferred QualificationsBachelor's degree in AccountingCPA certification or CPA eligibleExperience in public accounting or with a large, publicly traded companyBenefits/CultureToday, we are listed among Engineering News-Records Top 150 Specialty Contracting firms.
