IBB is in Georgia Tech's thriving Biotechnology Complex, was launched in 1995, and has since grown to include 300+ faculty. IBB serves to catalyze new research and education initiatives at the interface of bioengineering and bioscience and to integrate the broad range of bio-related activities throughout Georgia Tech and its partner institutions. More information can be found here: .We are seeking a TEMP-Lab/Research Support to support a range of research initiatives, including (a) food safety and microbiology, (b) the development and evaluation of disinfection methods, (c) sensor design for chemical and biological detection, and (d) characterization of wastewater from poultry production sources. Core responsibilities include conducting experiments, preparing samples and reagents, collecting and analyzing data, and maintaining laboratory equipment and inventory. This person will also play a key role in ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards, as well as assisting with documentation, reporting, and collaborative efforts to drive progress across multidisciplinary research projects.Job SummaryProvide support services in the operation and maintenance of an academic or research laboratory to include performing analyses; setup, operation, maintenance and cleaning of equipment; and maintaining stock of supplies. Specific duties will be determined based on assignment and unit needs.
