Job Description Therma-Tru in Butler, Indiana a global producer of entry door systems is seeking a Process Engineering Co-op. Our Co-op program gives students opportunities to build on their academic skills and gain valuable hands-on experience in a manufacturing environment. This is an excellent opportunity to learn and apply problem-solving, lean manufacturing, Six Sigma techniques, and work on cross-functional teams. You will learn a multitude of manufacturing processes, and expand your engineering knowledge in a hands-on manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Process & product development, standardization, optimization, and innovation Learn and apply key chemical processing tools Chemical system safety & hazard assessments Apply key product/process development tools including APQP, D & PFMEA Develop standard work and visual aids Plant simulation & equipment design Statistical Data collection & analysis Chemical system analysis Root Cause Analysis, and problem solving May perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program focusing on Mechanical, Industrial,or a related field Ability to work in a cross functional environment Self-directed and motivated for completion of projects Be able to schedule and complete projects from start to finish Excellent verbal and written communication skills US Citizen or Green Card Holder Additional Information Fortune Brands Innovation (FBIN) is built on industry-leading brands and innovation within our operating segments: Plumbing, Doors and Security.
