Database Analysts

Role OverviewWe are seeking experienced Database Analysts to support data management, analysis, and optimization initiatives for a State of Florida project. The ideal candidates will have strong expertise in database systems, data analysis, and performance tuning within enterprise environments.Key ResponsibilitiesAnalyze, design, and maintain database systems to support business applicationsPerform data analysis, validation, and quality checks across multiple data sourcesOptimize database performance, including query tuning and indexingDevelop and maintain database documentation, data models, and data dictionariesSupport ETL processes and data integration activitiesCollaborate with developers, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirementsTroubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutionEnsure data security, integrity, and compliance with state standardsRequired Skills & Experience5+ years of experience as a Database Analyst or similar roleStrong experience with SQL and relational databases (Oracle, SQL Server, or PostgreSQL)Experience with data modeling, data analysis, and reportingKnowledge of ETL tools and data integration processesFamiliarity with performance tuning and database optimization techniquesExperience working in large enterprise or government environments is preferredNice to HaveExperience with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)Knowledge of data governance and data quality frameworksExposure to BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau)
