Senior Accountant

Job SummaryThe Sr. Accountant will serve as a key individual contributor on the Corporate Accounting team, responsible for managing high-volume, complex accounting functions across multiple entities and plant locations. This role works closely with the Accounting Manager and Corporate Controller, providing analytical support and contributing to broader financial planning activities. It requires strong technical accounting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.Key ResponsibilitiesManage cash accounting and prepaid schedulesProcess and reconcile intercompany charges, including payroll, fees, expense reports, ADP, and legal feesPerform intercompany reconciliations for specific plant locationsOversee Ford Scrap Sharing accounting and related allocationsHandle MiNDCAN and TrueNorth accountingCreate, review, and approve journal entries as neededAssist the Accounting Manager and Corporate Controller with budgeting and forecasting processesSupport monthly and quarterly variance analysis, identifying and explaining key driversPrepare ad-hoc financial reports and analysis as requested by the Accounting Manager and ControllerMaintain accuracy across multi-entity, high-volume close processesCommunicate with plant controllers to identify and resolve discrepanciesRequired Education & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity or high-volume environmentExperience with intercompany accounting and reconciliationsProficiency in MS Office, particularly ExcelStrong attention to detail and ability to manage high transaction volumesEffective communicator, able to work cross-functionally with plant controllers and leadershipAbility to work independently and meet month-end close deadlinesExperience with ERP systems; OneStream familiarity a plus
