Logistics Analyst (Transportation & Supply Chain)The Logistics Analyst is responsible for managing transportation operations, analyzing supply chain performance, supporting carrier relationships, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across inbound and outbound logistics networks. This role partners closely with distribution centers, transportation providers, store operations, and internal stakeholders to optimize service, cost, and efficiency. The ideal candidate combines strong transportation knowledge with analytical skills and can use data to identify issues, develop solutions, and improve operational performance.Core ResponsibilitiesTransportation OperationsManage and monitor freight movement across multiple transportation modesCoordinate with carriers to ensure on-time pickup and delivery performanceSupport routing, scheduling, capacity planning, and equipment managementTrack shipment status and resolve transportation disruptionsManage relationships with carriers, distribution centers, and operational partnersAnalytics & ReportingDevelop and maintain KPI reporting and scorecardsAnalyze transportation and supply chain data to identify trends and opportunitiesBuild forecasts for transportation volume and capacity requirementsCreate reporting tools that support operational decision-makingMeasure project performance, cost savings, and service improvementsLeverage AI tools and technologies to enhance analysis, reporting, forecasting, and decision-makingProcess ImprovementIdentify inefficiencies and implement corrective actionsSupport transportation and supply chain optimization initiativesDevelop recommendations to improve service levels and reduce costsDocument processes and support best-practice implementationStakeholder CollaborationPartner with distribution centers, carriers, stores, and leadership teamsCommunicate transportation plans, service issues, and operational updatesAssist in training operational teams on transportation processes and best practicesPreferred QualificationsEducation: Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Transportation, Business, Industrial Engineering, Operations ManagementExperience: 3-5+ years in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Operations, or Distribution OperationsTechnical & Analytical Skills: Advanced Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Data Analysis, Reporting), ERP/TMS systems, Data analysis and KPI development, Forecasting and capacity planning, AI tools and analytical applicationsTransportation Knowledge: Truckload (TL), Intermodal, Carrier management, Freight routing and scheduling, Transportation cost analysis
