This leader must have the ability to attract and recruit the industry's best talent and simultaneously have the technical chops to ensure that we build compelling, customer-oriented solutions in an iterative methodology. This role requires a background in software engineering, especially in skill areas such as .Net or Java, event driven architecture, Microservices, Azure or AWS based development. Comfort level with specific languages is less relevant, but proficiency across the web stack is fundamental. Success in the role requires experience delivering new enterprise scale software products, reasoning skills, strong interpersonal relationships, compassion and understanding for challenges, efficiency, and a passion for creating software for thousands of customers. Ability to lead people managers and high performing software teams. You're motivated by improving culture, earning trust, your team's growth, and have a track record of doing so in management positions.In this role, you will: Develop high-performing, engaged software teams and lead both people leaders and engineers. Partner with architects, product owners, and software engineers to drive the implementation of new applicationsWork within and across agile teams to design, develop, test, implement, and support technical solutions across our full stack, with a particular focus on middleware platforms and technologiesBuild strong partnerships with the business and product teamsManage third party staff augmentation firms, leveraging staff and contractors appropriately with regards to budget, timelines, and skillsetsFoster and cultivate a culture of continuous delivery and improvement with an emphasis on full lifecycle ownership of the applications that your teams deliverDelegate tasks to team members as needed and also serve as high level escalation contactResolves conflicts between timeline, budget and scope independently but intuitively escalates complex or consequential issues to managementDefine and evangelize enterprise policies, standards and position statementsEncourage innovation, implementation of cutting-edge technologies, inclusion, outside-of-the-box thinking, teamwork, self-organization, and diversityGrow subject matter experts to produce resilient, scalable software and secure data with highest qualityWork to modernize our existing tech stacksCollaborate with internal teams to find areas of opportunities for automationReporting StructureThis role reports to: SVP, Software EngineeringQualificationsWhat makes you a dream candidate?
