Senior Tax Accounting SpecialistThe main responsibility of the Senior Tax Accounting Specialist is to provide bookkeeping support services to tax clients with minimal supervision. They apply their own judgement, prioritize their work, work with the client independently. This role will begin to take on more complex bookkeeping tasks and deliverables and work to independently complete deliverables for the tax team and tax clients and is expected to do so in a timely manner, with high quality and accuracy. Take on new clients. This role works on several clients across various industries and geographies and is expected to be able to manage their time and priorities in order to meet deadlines.ResponsibilitiesClient Deliverables and Advisory:Provide best in-class basic accounting and financial reporting support services to clients under direct supervision and with an emphasis on being responsive, timely, professional and accurateProvide accounting related services to our clients including accounts payable, accounts receivable, account reconciliation, journal entries, general ledger and monthly, quarterly and year end reportingProvide team with basic support to accomplish client deliverablesPrepare client statements and reports for next level reviewProactively communicate status of work, ask timely questions and seek clarity from lead on client engagement when needed in order to keep work progressingAnswer basic accounting and software questions, escalating as neededMeet client service expectations through adhering to quality and timely client deliverables, and meeting time budget expectationsResponsive to questions/concerns from team members and clients (internal and/or external)Execute on defined processes and procedures and share ideas or recommendations for improvementsPromptly communicate roadblocks and inefficiencies as they ariseQualificationsAssociate's degree in accounting, finance or related field. Bachelor's preferred2-4+ years of bookkeeping, accounting, or tax-related client service experienceStrong proficiency in QuickBooks Online and Microsoft ExcelFamiliarity with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word)Demonstrated ability to work independently while overseeing multiple client engagements simultaneouslyReviewing work, or providing guidance to junior team membersStrong client-service orientation with excellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and intellectual curiosityCommitment to confidentiality and professional integrityStrong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environmentEnjoys interacting with clients and delivering exceptional service with a consultative approach
