Hydrologist / Sr. Civil Engineer

Requirements Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or related field. Professional Engineer (PE) license required in Indiana or able to obtain within 6 months. Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in hydrology, hydraulics, and water resources engineering. Proficiency in hydrological modeling software such as HEC-HMS, ICPR, HEC-RAS, SWMM, and GIS. Proficiency in AutoCAD with Civil 3D knowledge preferrable. Strong understanding of watershed management principles and stormwater best management practices. Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Commitment to professional development and continuous learning. Responsibilities Conduct hydrological assessments, watershed modeling, floodplain analysis and mapping. Design stormwater management systems, including detention basins, green infrastructure, stormwater quality, and erosion control measures. Prepare hydrologic and hydraulic models using industry-standard software such as HEC-HMS, ICPR, HEC-RAS, SWMM, and GIS. Perform site evaluations and feasibility studies for stormwater and drainage-related projects. Develop technical reports, drawings, and specifications in compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards. Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and regulatory agencies to ensure project success and regulatory compliance. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior staff members. Stay current with emerging trends, technologies, and regulations in water resources engineering.
