POSITION SUMMARY: The Unit Level Assembler C is responsible for the assembly of SATCOM subassemblies and discrete units that support larger satellite communication systems. This role focuses on building mechanical, electrical, and RF units according to engineering documentation, workmanship standards, and production schedules. The ideal candidate has strong hands‑on assembly skills, attention to detail, and experience working in a high‑reliability manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: · Assemble unit‑level and sub‑assembly hardware, including electronics enclosures, power units, RF modules, mechanical brackets, frames, and housings. · Install components, fasteners, connectors, and hardware per drawings and work instructions · Perform cable, wire, and coax preparation, termination, and routing within units · Use hand tools, crimp tools, torque drivers, and measurement devices accurately and safely · Read and interpret engineering drawings, BOMs, schematics, and written instructions · Accurately complete production travelers, checklists, and quality documentation · Follow all ESD, FOD, and safety requirements · Identify and report defects, deviations, or missing documentation to supervision · Perform in‑process inspections and basic verification checks (visual, continuity, fit) · Support test technicians with unit preparation, rework, and failure analysis as directed · Rework units based on approved dispositions and engineering instructions · Maintain a clean and organized workstation using 5S principles · Detail‑oriented with a focus on quality and workmanship · Team‑oriented with strong communication skills · Able to follow structured processes while adapting to build variations · Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and training · Collaborate with peers, leads, and engineers to improve build efficiency and quality · Other Duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required A minimum of 8 years of experience in manufacturing assembly (SATCOM, aerospace, defense, telecom, or electronics preferred) · Ability to read and follow technical drawings and written instructions Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, basic wiring or cable assembly, and torque-controlled fasteners Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail Ability to lift up to 35-50 lbs and stand for extended periods of time United States Citizenship and an ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance is required Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook). Preferred Qualifications: · Experience with SATCOM or RF hardware · Cable or harness assembly experience (coax, RF, or power) · IPC‑A‑610 or IPC‑WHMA‑A‑620 familiarity or certification · Proficient soldering skills · Experience in ISO 9001 or AS9100 manufacturing environments · Ability to identify workmanship issues and suggest improvements ___________________________________________________________________________________ POSITION SUMMARY: The System Level Assembler C is responsible for the mechanical, electrical, and electromechanical assembly of Satellite Communications (SATCOM) systems at the system and sub‑system level. This role focuses on integrating complex assemblies—including RF components, enclosures, cable harnesses, and electronics—into fully functional SATCOM products in accordance with engineering documentation, quality standards, and production schedules. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret technical documentation, and hands‑on experience working in a regulated manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: · Perform system‑level assembly of SATCOM products, including racks, terminals, antenna subsystems, power units, and electronics enclosures · Assemble and integrate mechanical, electrical, RF, and electromechanical sub‑assemblies · Install and route cable harnesses, coaxial cables, waveguides, connectors, and fasteners per drawings and torque specifications · Perform precision assembly using hand tools, torque drivers, crimp tools, and measurement equipment · Interpret and follow engineering drawings, schematics, BOMs, work instructions, and ECNs · Accurately complete manufacturing documentation, travelers, and quality records · Identify and escalate discrepancies, non‑conformances, or documentation issues · Collaborate with Quality and Test teams to resolve assembly‑related issues · Maintain compliance with ESD, FOD, and workmanship standards (IPC, J‑STD, or internal standards) · Participate in lean manufacturing, 5S, and continuous improvement initiatives · Provide feedback to Engineering on assembly efficiency and design for manufacturability · Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment · Detail‑oriented with a focus on quality and workmanship · Team‑oriented with strong communication skills · Able to follow structured processes while adapting to build variations · Comfortable working with highly technical, mission‑critical products · Ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 50 lbs · Other Duties as assigned. Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED required; technical or trade school preferred · A minimum of 8 years experience in system‑level assembly within SATCOM, aerospace, defense, telecom, or high‑reliability manufacturing · Ability to read and interpret complex mechanical and electrical drawings · Experience with cable harness assembly and routing, torque specification and mechanical faster installation. · Strong manual dexterity and attention to detail · Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work with large or complex assemblies. · Ability to stand for extended periods United States Citizenship and an ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance is required Knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook). Preferred Qualifications: · Experience assembling SATCOM ground systems, terminals, or antenna systems · Familiarity with RF components (LNAs, BUCs, filters, waveguides, coax) · IPC‑A‑610, IPC‑WHMA‑A‑620, or similar certifications · Experience working in ISO 9001 / AS9100 manufacturing environments · Basic troubleshooting of electrical or system‑level issues · Experience supporting engineering builds, prototypes, or NPI programs ____________________________________________________________________ This position requires the ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship.
