The project focuses on rural road safety. He will be working on a hardware/sofware application to sense hazards, warn the driver, and broadcast warnings to other drivers.JOB DUTIES:50% - Essential - Application development using Python and YOLOV8 Object Detection Library. The application will include computer vision processing of both digital/infrared and thermal camera imagery.15% - Essential - Prototype hardware assembly and field testing of a roadside unit. This includes cameras, Nvidia Orin Jetson processor, Cohda C2X devices, solar power supply including inverter, case, and pole.20% - Essential - Prototype hardware assembly and field testing of an on-board unit.
