Immigration Attorney

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and motivated Immigration Court Attorney to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for both new and experienced attorneys who are passionate about immigration law and client advocacy. The position is fully in-office and offers hands-on experience in immigration court proceedings, particularly asylum cases.CompensationStarting salary: $84,000 (for candidates with no prior experience)Higher compensation available based on experienceKey ResponsibilitiesRepresent clients in immigration court, with a focus on asylum and 42B cancellation of removal casesPrepare and submit applications, motions, and supporting evidence to the courtPrepare clients for individual hearingsExplain legal processes and recent changes in immigration law to clientsRepresent eligible clients in immigration bond hearingsDraft legal briefs for submission to Immigration Court and the Board of Immigration Appeals (BIA)Handle select non-immigration matters, including: (1) Non-contested divorces and (2) Special Immigrant Juvenile (SIJ) custody hearings in family courtQualificationsLicensed in Texas preferredLicensed to practice law in at least one U.S. stateFluent in Spanish (required)Strong legal writing and research skillsExcellent communication and client-facing skillsAbility to manage multiple cases and deadlines in a fast-paced environmentPrior immigration court experience is a plus, but not requiredBenefitsSimple IRA retirement planHMO health insuranceCompetitive salary with growth potentialHands-on litigation experience from day oneSupportive team environmentBenefits:Health insurancePaid time offWork Location: In person
