Technical Operations, A/V Specialist

We are looking for an A/V Specialist to assist with technical needs for all Hornets Sports & Entertainment (HSE) and Spectrum Center events. You will be responsible for setting up the home and visiting TV/Radio broadcast, production studio, satellite and fiber transmission, audio and video systems, scoreboard, and master control. You will also assist with daily activities including but not limited to equipment maintenance and repair, studio work flows, and trouble shooting.Core ValuesIntegrityTeamworkAccountabilityResilienceEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesResponsible for assisting with technical needs across all HSE and Spectrum Center events including Charlotte Hornets and all third-party eventsSet up of home and visiting TV/Radio broadcast, production studio, satellite and fiber transmission, audio and video systems, scoreboard, and master controlAssist with daily activities including equipment maintenance and repair, studio work flows, and trouble shootingResponsible for ordering of tape stock, identified equipment, and essential studio suppliesResponsible for inventory of all technical assetsAssist with the technical production of game presentation elementsAssist with set up and operation of PA system for various eventsSupervise production staff in carrying out the responsibilities of their operational areasManagement of DTV Head endOther duties as assigned by ManagerRequired Skills, Experience, and AbilitiesTo perform the job successfully, you will have or demonstrate the following skills and abilities:Bachelor's degree or equivalent knowledge from an accredited college or university in Technical Operations or a related field;Strong knowledge of audio and video productionExcellent communication skills including written and verbal, and able to present ideas clearly and conciselyPresent self in professional manner and has the ability to interact with all levels of the organization as well as outside contacts; well in a team environmentMaintain the highest level of confidentialityStrong planning and organizing, and can prioritize work activities and use time efficientlyAdapt to change in the work environment, handle competing demands, work well in a fast-paced environment, pay attention to detailStrong computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft office computer software programsAttend all home games and arena events; travel as needed; work irregular hours including evening, weekend and holidaysLift and handle heavy video equipment [50 – 100 pounds]Diligent, punctual, and respond to manager's directionCamera skills are a plusRoss Acuity switcherRoss Xpressions and data integrationGrass Valley switchersClearcom Eclipse HX intercom matrixEvertz EQX and Xenon AV routersEvertz Magnum and Vistalink softwareAV routing SDI, analog, IP 2110, Dante, Cobra NetEVS XT3 operation and maintenanceSMPTE fiber patching and cleaningThis is a full time benefit eligible position.
