Sourcing Procurement Manager

This individual will oversee carrier sourcing, pricing strategy, and relationship management while collaborating cross-functionally with internal teams and external partners to deliver cost-effective, service-driven transportation solutions.Key ResponsibilitiesBuild, develop, and manage a scalable carrier network to support client needsLead RFP processes and analyze carrier rates, capacity, and service commitmentsNegotiate pricing agreements and drive cost optimization initiativesEstablish and maintain strong carrier relationships, including onboarding and complianceMonitor and present performance metrics; lead business reviews with carriers and customersPartner with internal teams (operations, sales, customer success) to design tailored solutionsHire, mentor, and manage a team of procurement and pricing professionalsDevelop KPIs and forecasting tools to support pricing strategy and decision-makingEvaluate and implement new tools, technologies, and process improvementsQualificationsBachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field (or equivalent experience)~5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or transportation/logisticsStrong knowledge of LTL and broader transportation modes (e.g., truckload, intermodal, specialized)Experience with carrier rate structures and contract negotiationsProven leadership experience managing and developing teamsAdvanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly ExcelStrong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholdersAbility to operate in a fast-paced, evolving environmentWillingness to travel occasionally (~10%)Compensation & BenefitsThe company offers a competitive compensation package along with a comprehensive benefits program, including healthcare coverage, retirement plans, and unlimited PTO.
