Host / Reservationist
Position Summary The Guest Relations Department is the guest’s first impression of our restaurants. They are welcoming and engaging, and they have a basic knowledge of the flow of service, traffic patterns, table and position numbers, menus offered, and steps of service. They manage our reservation systems and any communication with guests before and after their dining experience. Essential Duties and Responsibilities The essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following: Responsible for all outside communications to guests. Monitor and answer all incoming phone calls. Transfers phone calls to the appropriate party if necessary. Enter reservation information into the reservations management platform. Print BEO’s weekly and communicate party info to the Hospitality and Culinary Management teams. Monitor and respond to all e-mail addresses for info, events, and reservations. Forwards all non-guest-related emails to the appropriate party. Forward all guest complaint emails to the Hospitality and Culinary Management teams. Assisting the team with beverages and food or resetting when needed. Have detailed information about the restaurants' menus and dining room options. Can answer all the guests' questions. Eager to learn more about the philosophy of our cuisine, including purveyors and techniques. Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities) Desire to provide exceptional hospitality to each guest. Knowledge of reservation systems. Available to work weekends, nights, and holidays as business dictates. Must be of legal age under TN State regulations to serve alcohol (18 years) and have a valid TN ABC certificate. Organization and time management skills. Reliable, efficient, courteous, professional, and a team player. Heightened sense of awareness and great attention to detail. Strong sense of teamwork and seeks to drive results through collaboration. Provides an excellent guest experience that builds long-term customer relationships. Physical Demands and Work Environment The physical demands described here represent those that an employee must meet to perform the essential functions of this job successfully. The employee must regularly sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push, and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less. The position requires manual dexterity, auditory and visual skills, and the ability to provide and follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
